New Zeeland native Chester Jerrat is our guest today. Chester and I met at a show here at QED in Astoria. He currently lives in Auckland, New Zeeland, where he was born and raised. By day he’s a software engineer. He did his first standup show when he was 15, and he has received nominations for Breakthrough Comedian, and Best Newcomer. Today we talk about life in New Zeeland and compare the comedy scene to the United States, why New Zeelanders and Austrialians hate on each other, our shared love of comedian Joe List, how Chester got taken advantage of by a NYC grifter in Times Square.
