Hanshi Tallack has organized large groups of Canadian martial artists and traveled numerous times to Kyoto, Japan for the World Butoku Sai (Martial Arts Festival). In 2008 he led 80 Canadians to the 3rd World Butoku Sai where their team presented their martial arts in front of members of the Japanese Imperial Family. Hanshi Tallack was inducted into the Canadian Black Belt Hall of Fame in Gatineau, Quebec in 2017. In addition to his publications, Hanshi Tallack has also translated important martial arts texts such as “To-Te Jitsu” by Gichin Funakoshi.
