Join us as we chat with Michael Dymond. Sensei Dymond has trained with Hanshi Gary Legacy, and has paved the way for many Legacy Shorin Ryu students over his lifetime, including Sensei Daniel Whittal and Sensei Randy Dauphin. Notably, in 2006, he visited and trained in Okinawa at the dojo of Ikihara Sensei. He is also a published author of 5 books. His memoir “It’s just about me: 23 Dover Street” reflects his early days from Chatham, Ontario, Canada where he grew up in a post war environment with a sister and two half-brothers. He and his sister, Margo, were among the many young victims of this war having lost their father in its closing days. These days, Sensei Dymond enjoys golf, Tai Chi, working out, and watching movies. He continues to train Karate, and says he’s too old to quit.
