Description

Athlete and cheer coach, Quincy Williams, and I sat down earlier this week to discuss how he’s evolved over the past year, the role cheerleading has played in his life and his favorite ways to show and receive love.

Quincy and I met in junior high through our school's marching band program and went to the same high school. He’s currently a college student and is the Head Cheerleading Coach at his gym, Platinum Cheer Company Inc.

Thank you so much, Quincy, for your vulnerability and for trusting the podcast with your insight. You are the epitome of light. It’s heartwarming to see you develop a sense of home within yourself and feel safe with your emotions. Cheers to you for listening to your heart and allowing it to be your compass, being your own best friend, and maintaining gratitude for each moment. Tabut would be so proud of you.

Trigger Warning - mentions of loss, grief, and death.

On behalf of the HAYRF Podcast, I want to send my sincerest condolences to the family and loved ones of Jeremiah Kipchumba Tabut (2002-2021). May he rest in love.
