Description

"A glooming peace this morning with it brings.

The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head.

Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things."

-Prince Escalus, Act V, Scene 3

William Shakespeare - Romeo and Juliet

John and John explore one of the seminal musical theatre works of the mid 20th century in West Side Story. They talk about subversion, the "newness factor" of WSS and John (Norine) spends way too long fanboy-ing over Leonard Bernstein.

Music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and book by Arthur Laurents. Inspired by William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
