In this episode, we are joined by Prof. Urjit Yajnik- theoretical physicist from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Prof Urjit Yajnik, after finishing his Master’s at IIT-Bombay, joined the Weinberg Theory group at UT Austin after studying elementary particles as part of his PhD. He has been teaching at IIT-Bombay for over 30 years, during which time he has held numerous administrative positions there and has had affiliations with leading institutions around the world. His research interests include Cosmology, Grand Unification Theories, and High Energy Physics. Currently, he is working on Supersymmetry and the Dark Sector- dark matter and dark energy. This conversation is highly informative not only for anyone looking to enter Physics but also for those interested in learning more about the discoveries that we, as a species, make at the frontier of human knowledge.
