Sent
A pastor described Agrippa with the phrase "the curse of casualness." He seemed to be relaxed and unconcerned. Indifferent. Apathetic. Contrast this with Paul. Paul had a sense of urgency. What is urgency? Something requiring immediate action or attention.
A key verse is Acts 26:28. It says: "Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?” (NIV). The reading is slightly different in the NKJV (New King James Version): "Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”
This verse gives us three important words (with help from Warren Wiersbe):
"Christian" - a despised word
"Persuade"- a decisive word
"Almost" - a dangerous word
