Best of The Satin Lounge with Kia René welcomes Queer Producer, Director, Actress ROBYN DETTMAN to #PillowTalk. Robyn Dettman discusses the making of her film "Appleseeds", and supporting woman and queer creatives. She shares her journey as a cancer survivor and new film Appleseeds: the short film. Robyn is a native Californian whose work in theater and independent film as an actress there has prepared her for what she sees as the inevitable leap into film directing and producing. Robyn's current focus is bringing Appleseeds to the film festival audience and hosting screening benefits for the victims of domestic violence. She is also in development on the feature film "Clovis 9" with her Appleseeds collaborator, Ashley Perryman Quach. Robyn is also slated to direct her first feature this fall, Shesus of Abalene. In November 2008, Robyn teamed up with actresses Jill Bennett, Cathy DeBuono and award-winning writer/actress Ann Noble to create the web series "We Have To Stop Now." Entering it's second season in 2009, and with the first season being distributed by Wolfe Releasing, the series has made it’s mark at the top gay and lesbian film festivals in the world and become one of the top web series of it's genre.
