A pioneer in LGBT new media, Jill served on the Screen Actor’s Guild LGBT National Board and has traveled to over two dozen cities to speak on LGBT media issues. Her projects have been staples of the worldwide LGBT film festival circuit for 7 years running, the most recent being Second Shot, an independent comedy co-created and written by Nancylee Myatt (3way, South of Nowhere) and Dara Nai (Afterellen.com). The first two episodes of Second Shot premiered to sold out audiences at The Dinah in April of 2013. Later that summer, Second Shot played Outfest Los Angeles and won best feature at LFest in the United Kingdom. Jill has been nominated in four categories and won two Audience Choice Awards at Logo's NewNowNext Awards. She was also voted Shewired's Woman of the Year and awarded Autostraddle's Celesbian of the Year. Curve Magazine has nominated her in four separate categories, with three wins going to her self-produced, award-winning comedy We Have to Stop Now.
