Episode 27 How to Master Self Discipline

So think of self discipline as a muscle. The more you train it the stronger you become. The lack of self discipline can cause you to have low esteem.

1. Know your strengths and weaknesses

We as human all have weaknesses no matter what it is. We desire something like unhealthy food, alcohol, social media and etc. that can keep us distracted. We need self awareness which is a powerful tool for our comfort zone expansion which requires a lot of focus and acknowledgment

2. Set Clear Goals and have an execution plan for them 

Like I talked about in episode 20 “How to set goals and actually achieve them” you have to have a plan to make your goals happen, to execute them. If you don’t have clear goals and have a plan to execute how are you going to make them happen because it’s just writing on a piece of paper. 

3. Create new habits and rituals 

To acquire self discipline it require you to implement some new habits into your life. This can be hard but if you want to be consistent with the habit or ritual try it for 30 days. This is a test that a lot people fail multiple time before getting it right. But this 30 days test will help you make something a habit and if you forget about it restart the rest back at day 1. 

4. Give yourself a backup plan.

Plan A might not work in your favor so you should always want to have a plan B, a Plan C and Plan D at least because they might not go on how we want it to go. And one plan might not be as clear than the other one. 

5. Visualize your results 

Did you know visualizing something can help it make it happen. Start seeing in a good position 6 months now .
