The tallest waterfall is in South America. Angel Falls on the Churun River in Venezuela drops in stages of 3,212 feet or 979 meters from a high flat area of land called Devil's Mountain.
Angel Falls is almost 20 times higher than the most famous spectacles in North America - the Niagara Falls.
