Description

Dane Vilas, King Edward VII School Old Boy, has done wonders on the  cricket field.  Dane began his First - Class career in 2006 and progressed in leaps and  bounds and broke a number of records such as: List A – 166 runs off 100 balls (a Lancashire record) First - Class – 266 runs (The 15th highest First-Class score for  Lancashire) β€œHe also took his first-class form to a new level during the 2012-13  season when he played an innings of 187 and made 10 dismissals in the  SuperSport Series match between the Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras and the  Chevrolet Warriors. This was the first instance in the history of  first-class cricket of a wicketkeeper playing an innings in excess of  150 and making 10 dismissals.” cricket.co.za  

Dane was selected to represent South Africa, however, he signed a Kolpak  deal with Lancashire Cricket which has paid dividends for the talented  cricketer.
