In this episode of Nonnie and Mom, we discuss the importance of setting healthy boundaries for screen time with kids in the modern world of technology. How screens are affecting our children and how we can create a media friendly home environment without being too radical.
AMENDMENT: *The American Academy of Pediatrics recommendation of 1 hr of screen time per day pertains to children ages 2-5.
The AAP recommends less than 1 hr for children/infants under 2, and for children ages 6-18 recommends setting media use limits that factor in other health-promoting activities such as physical activity, sleep, family meals, school and friends.
