As the disciples watch Jesus perform amazing miracles and signs, healing all kinds of people and diseases. Jesus turns and commands the twelve to go out into the surrounding cities to preach the same message both and he and John the baptist are preaching, "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" (Matt 3:1-3, 13-17). The twelve are tasked and instructed on how to go about preaching this message to the lost sheep of Israel.
