Welcome to this week’s Express Tip on the Entrepreneur Evolution Podcast. Here is a question I want you to ask yourself the next time you are at your desk and feeling overwhelmed or stuck in your business. The question is “who’s job am I doing now?” The next time you go to do a task or something in your business, you have to ask yourself, “who’s job am I doing now?” If it’s your job and you’re doing it, then that’s great. But if it’s a job that could be for an assistant, a bookkeeper, a social media manager, or a sales person, you need to start identifying who those people are around you because there’s a good chance you are doing more than you should be doing. You grow and you scale by delegating. Leadership is getting things done through others. When you are having those moments when you feel like you are panicking or rushing or wanting to pull your hair out, ask yourself that question - “who’s job am I doing now?” As you make note of the things you are doing that you should be delegating, you are identifying all the aspects of a job description you will need when you are looking for your next best hire. Oftentimes we don’t even know what we need next, but when we start to pay attention to it in the thick of things that’s when we can make huge progress in our business. So “who’s job am I doing now?” Ask yourself that question, start paying attention to it, begin making lists for what you need and watch those things develop into your next hire.
