I want you to pretend that you have 48 hours to get ready to leave your company for a year-long trip where you are not able to take your phone or check in with your team. After this year-long trip, is your company able to survive without you? Essentially you have 48 hours to delegate. This is a great exercise to go through because it can help you determine where you need to delegate, where you need to cross-train and where you need to set a standard operating procedure. These standard procedures and processes allow your company to function and operate without you. It’s important because this is what scaling is about – you must get out of the weeds of your business to keep growing and evolving.
