Today’s Entrepreneur Express Tip is about stressing the importance of your people and your team. About you showing up and checking on your people. Typically, this is called leadership, but I want you to think about leadership as building people. The people around you: your team, your village, the people that come to you as friends and family. Everyone in your life is there for a reason. You can be a huge and critical part of their growth. When you look at it from the angle of building people, that’s when huge things happen. We need to make sure we are checking in with people and their overall health and wellness. If you haven’t done that in a while, or haven’t connected with someone in your team - now is the time to make sure you do so. Reach out, text them, ask them simple questions to help, they can go so far. As you are busier, and weeks, days, months are dripping by - sometimes, that type of thing as small as it is, can often be overlooked, or goes on too long without us doing so - despite its importance. So continue to build people on your team. Be thoughtful in your hires. The old saying goes “hire slow, fire fast.” If you are beyond capacity in your business and you are at that point to hire, I really encourage you to make sure you are being methodical, strategic, and thoughtful with your hires. Don’t be too impatient as you are building people to your team, and as you are really building and developing your people out there. I am here for you. I am doing it right there with you. Our team is growing, business is growing, and my clients too are experiencing such insane growth all around the United States. So let's schedule some time, let's make sure we’re meeting, let's make sure we’re taking time to carve out and talk about you and your business. Don’t do this alone, it will cost you way too much money. Use the resources around you to make sound, good, factual decisions that are a win-win for everyone on your team and for you. So that’s my message today: BUILD people! You are gifted, and you can do this. Continuously build people up around you so they are better, and you are better.
