Throughout my journey, starting as a computer science undergrad at the University of Michigan, self-doubt would be a regular travel companion. If I didn't enjoy a particular class, did that mean perhaps I wasn't meant to be in this field? Years later, when my husband and I decided to expand our family beyond our dog, I had a desire to stay home with our first child. Would my career have to wait? Could I do both [well]? Would I be able to hop back in if I took time off? Over time, I've been able to reflect on the decisions I've made and hone my ability to weigh the trade-offs in choices life presents. Self-doubt, especially as a woman in tech, doesn't magically disappear one day...but like so many other aspects of life, you can learn how to take control of it.
