[Comment: Emotions]
Friends of the Rosary:
Our modern society has made emotions, feelings, and pleasures a priority. We have absolutized them, in accordance with the dominant view of the human being as the center of the universe.
In other words, we try to build a society without God. Our Western countries do not deny God; they just relegate the Divinity to a secondary role. This social construction is a failure. Just take a look at how unhappy and despaired are people to notice that a world without Jesus Christ is a complete disaster.
Emotions, feelings, and even pleasures are good as long as we understand that they are a gift from God, and are used to help others and love the Creator. Emotions and feelings are subordinated to the salvific and loving plan of God.
