This month Aaron and Josh Sarnecky are talking about Kim Possible for its 20th anniversary. Joining the brothers is Allison Lips, Digital Trends Editor for The Pop Break.
Kim Possible premiered on Disney Channel on June 7, 2002. It ran for four seasons, with a total of 87 episodes, plus a crossover with Lilo & Stitch: The Series. The show ended on September 7, 2007.
The series follows Kim Possible (Christy Carlson Romano), a girl trying to balance her life as an average high school student and a world famous crimefighter. Assisting Kim is her sidekick Ron Stoppable (Will Friedle), tech wiz Wade (Tahj Mowry), and Ron’s naked mole rat Rufus (Nancy Cartwright). Kim’s main foes are Dr. Drakken (John DiMaggio) and his henchwoman Shego (Nicole Sullivan).
Kim Possible was enormously successful and earned multiple Emmy nominations, winning in 2005 for Sound Mixing. It received a live action Disney Channel Original Movie in 2019.
Aaron, Josh, and Allision look at the premiere, while also going into the characters, action, and comedy of the show. They discuss the series’ legacy as well.
