When you think about some of the greatest villains, let alone the greatest characters, across a plethora of comic books, movies and literature it would be hard to ignore the plethora of adaptations of the Clown Prince of Crime. Created as an arch nemesis of DC Comics' 'The Batman', Joker is a chaotic, maniacal, and at times oddly charming antagonist. As such, he both challenges and supersedes any role undertaken by an actor. The role of Joker is the role of a lifetime for many, and across my first miniseries on the podcast I'm joined by my good friend Will (Instagram @fletcher_inc_), to examine the performances of Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix. Alongside special mentions to Cesar Romero and Mark Hamill, we'll be taking an in-depth look at these performances, and what makes them stand out from the crowd. I can't wait to get into this one, and I'm so excited so share it with you all! As always, please send any queries/podcast suggestions to my email (cinerealmpodcast@outlook.com) or Instagram (@thecinerealmpodcast).
