Description

Yolanda Owens, founder of farm-to-skin spa Iwi Fresh, knows what it means to take tremendous risks and fight for something you believe in. Inspired by her grandmother who used to treat Yolanda’s eczema with home remedies, Yolanda left her corporate job in tech and used her 401K to start her business.

In spite of overwhelming challenges, from parting ways with a friend who was originally a partner at Iwi Fresh, to being diagnosed with colon cancer, Yolanda held on to her convictions — which included creating a line of chemical-free skin care products that are only made with farm-sourced ingredients. Through the many highs and lows of running her own business for twelve years, Yolanda was able to put her products on shelves at Whole Food stores in the southern region and provide a sanctuary for her local community in Atlanta. Listen to her inspiring journey.
