Today on the show I have the honor of speaking to the no gi Jiu Jitsu phenom William Tackett. William is a 21 year old Black Belt under Rodrigo Cabral where he teaches and trains at Brazilian Fight Factory in Austin, TX. William has competed against the best BJJ athletes in the world, racking up wins against Andrew Wiltse, Tex Johnson, John Combs, Rousimar Palhares, Dante Leon, and many more. He recently took gold at what was arguably the toughest and greatest ADCC Trails to date, an incredible feat. William and the Tackett brothers are part of this new breed of young Jiu Jitsu practitioners who were raised with a dearth of modern Jiu Jitsu data, full time practice, and most importantly incredibly deep assimilation of the art. An amazing thing about William is that he is just getting better and better. In the episode, we talk about his unique upbringing which contributed to his success, his ideas on recovery, and training specifics.
