I was an event planner for many years, and become a corporate event planner after graduating from university. I enjoy helping others and mentoring. When I worked at Microsoft campus in Redmond, WA in events, I felt like I was more of a therapist than an event planner. Every day I was talking to coworkers and sometimes even clients about their relationships struggles. When my husband was deployed, the military told me about how I was eligible for a scholarship. Since I already had my bachelors, I could only use the scholarship to get a certification or technical license. I looked into life coaching as that's something I've always been interested in. And I've never looked back!
The name of my business is The Cook Coterie and I am a narcissistic abuse recovery coach. A coterie an intimate group of persons with a unifying common interest or purpose. As a daughter of a narcissistic mother, I broke free from her manipulation and control and developed my own voice. I left the corporate world to help other survivors of narcissistic abuse live life on their own terms. I created The Cook Coterie as an avenue for others to learn about narcissism and break free from narcissistic abuse.
