The Stray is written, and directed by Mitch Davis (The Other Side of Heaven), the movie releases in select markets nationwide October 6, 2017.
Mitch Davis earned a Master’s degree in Film Production at the University of Southern California in 1988 at which time he was awarded an internship at Walt Disney Studios. In 1989 Davis was hired by Disney as an executive producer and worked on such movies as “Rocketeer,” “Newsies,” “White Fang” and “Dead Poets Society.”
Davis later moved to a producer’s job at Columbia Studios before leaving Hollywood altogether to pursue a career as an independent filmmaker. In 1993 he wrote a movie entitled “Windrunner” that was produced for the Disney Channel and Warner Home Video.
In 1999 he wrote, directed, and executive produced “The Other Side of Heaven” starring Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway, which was distributed by Walt Disney Home Entertainment.
In 2005 he wrote, directed, and produced a feature film starring Academy Award winner F.
