Collective members discuss the terrible industry of baby farms in Sri Lanka, and its connection to transnational adoption industries. To help us understand the history and present conditions around Sri Lanka's baby farms, we are joined by our guest, Priyangika Samanthie, a writer, philanthropist and activist in the field of adoption. She has assisted in nearly 300 family reunions over 17 years and has studied the adoption market in 37 countries. You can find information about her work on her own instagram account @priyangikasamanthie and @romanticized_immigration, which publishes various forms of adoption criticism.
You can follow our updates on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. SWANA Region Radio is run entirely by the volunteer efforts of our collective. We appreciate any amplification of our work. Thanks for listening and for sharing!
