Today’s guest is Darren Kerby. In 2018 he won the Kali Escrima world title in Hawaii. Darren Is the Founder of Active kids, providing free Martial Arts and Art to kids globally. He is a philanthropist who continually improves his performance and coaching skills.
Darren Kerby started his carrier in radio at 2XL Cooma Australia as an advertising executive.
Twenty – five years on and 35 thousand sales calls later he still has a passion for the cold calling business. He says, “sooner or later you have to talk to the clients”
He has a Diploma in coaching, sport development and studies Sports Psychology under Dr. Alan Goldberg in the USA
Darren has coupled both the sales and psychology mindset to bring a higher level of performance to the sales arena. ( Sales is performing ). He utilized these talents to help take the Bartercard Card Bendigo sales team to number 1 in the world.
In 2018 he won the Kali Escrima long pole world title in Hawaii and credits his win to the mental toughness he develops through selling.
Ten percent of all his earnings go to develop his MIKE” Martial arts Orphanages. This installs belief and confidence in kids to enjoy life and work.
Darren has 25 years in Wing Chun and 5 in Kali Escrima and instructed for 15 years both martial arts and in the Business world
