Description

Following a very public mental health crisis in 2007, the pop singer Britney Spears was deemed unfit to care for herself or her finances. As a result, Britney's father, Jamie Spears, became the conservator over her and the entirety of her estate, having remained in this position for over a decade. On June 23rd,  Britney spoke of the conservatorship for the first time, expressing her desire for agency. Since then, the internet exploded with pleas to #FREEBRITNEY. The Slate of Affairs team discusses the intense tabloid coverage that has plagued Britney Spears throughout her career and mental health stigma.

Tatiana talks about sports AND video games; Blake is not a fan of the newest Space-Jam remake; Daniel celebrates TWO artists this week!
