Achieving Financial Freedom through Real Estate Investing: Sarah Miskelley's Journey

This features an in-depth interview with Sarah Miskelley, a successful second-generation real estate investor who has transitioned from active to passive real estate investing, now living in Costa Rica. Sarah shares her upbringing in the real estate world, the impact of her father's teachings, and how she navigated the challenges of taking over the family's real estate portfolio at a young age. She discusses the importance of diversification in real estate investing, her approach to educating and working with passive investors, and her personal journey towards location independence and financial freedom. Sarah also explains her involvement in various forms of real estate, including multifamily properties and private lending, and shares insights on market trends and the benefits of passive real estate investing.

Sarah grew up with her single mom in Toronto. After meeting her dad at the age of three, she started to get immersed in the world of real estate helping him with his second job buying, renovating and managing small multifamily properties. At 16, her dad passed away, forcing her to manage his multifamily portfolio. Determined to succeed, Sarah became well-versed in real estate investment strategies like private lending and syndications, building up a multi-million-dollar portfolio. She entered real estate sales at 24, winning top agent under 30 for 3 consecutive years and selling $55 million in real estate. During COVID, she made a bold move and left her $400k income to prioritize family and focus on investing full-time. Now, Sarah's mission is to close the wealth gap between men and women through real estate investing.
