The event was the first to be held on Mexican Independence Day, and it featured a main card of 11 fights, including the UFC women's flyweight championship rematch between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko.
The main event was a closely contested five-round fight, with both fighters showcasing their skills and toughness. Grasso landed a big knockdown in the second round, but Shevchenko rallied and came close to finishing the fight in the fourth. In the end, the judges scored the fight a split draw, meaning that Grasso retained her UFC women's flyweight championship.
