J & Lesly return with another “entertainment review” but this time instead of music we are covering one of our FAVORITE HBO tv shows, LOVECRAFT COUNTRY!
It’s stars the amazingly talented Jurnee Smollett and equally amazingly talented Jonathan Majors! It is produced by Misha Green, Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrahams to name a few. Misha Green CREATED the show, wrote the pilot and is showrunner of the series. WHAT A WOMAN!!
In the episode Lesly & J discuss gush about the amazing acting, their first impressions of the first episode, how they feel about the “sci-fi” genre and meaning the show brought into their lives. There is a lot of crazy sci fi stuff that goes in the show so please have an open mind, open heart!!
It’s a story of magic, horror, adventure, drama, history, time travel and sci-fi set in the 1950’s and follows the life of a young Korean veteran named Atticus "Tic" Freeman. He joins up with his friend Letitia and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across America in the Jim Crow era in search of his missing father. This begins a struggle to survive and face the racist terrors of white americans but also the terrifying monsters, ghosts and witches in their path.
This is our first time reviewing a television series on this podcast. The reason we call this segment the “entertainment review” is because we don’t only want to review music, we also love and want to discuss movies and tv shows. So many times we find ourselves really relating to cinema and want to show you all our thoughts! We hope you enjoyed this and GO WATCH THE SHOW!
