I remember sitting through meetings on Mondays and having to literally pinch myself to try and keep my eyes open….
What is your SOB?
Your State Of Being.
Who are you showing up as today?
Are you being someone that others want to spend time around?
Are you bringing your best self and energy forward?
If not, then what do you need to help you connect with the best version of yourself?
Is it rest?
Green Juice? (big one for me)
Healthy food… (AKA are you hangry)
Meditation?
Getting outside?
Going for a run?
Listening to a podcast?
Those are just a few of the things that my body sometimes needs to get back up to speed after something that takes a lot of energy from me.
Because I spend so much time alone or just with Garett, and at home when I am in routine when I get out and about I can feel very very energetically drained after it all.
Not in a bad way, but just in a way where I feel like disconnecting is the only thing that will bring me back to “normal.”
Our bodies are like batteries, and we need to give them time to recharge after we use a lot of energy.
I have learned to never feel guilty for the time i take to disconnect, but to instead enjoy it and be grateful that my life and schedule allows me the space to do that.
I always think back to the times where even if I needed an extra day or two to disconnect to get back to my best self i wouldn’t get it….
I would have to go back to work immediately after a vacation, or a long weekend, or whatever if was and be forced to be around others, be forced to use energy to go to work, work on projects, talk to alot of people and it would take me days to feel like myself again.
I remember sitting through meetings on Mondays and having to literally pinch myself to try and keep my eyes open…. Those hour long meeting would feel like 3 hours by the end.
There were days where I legit would go into this dirty back storage room and just close my eyes for 5 minutes to try and re charge, or nap during my 15 minute breaks.
Now, when i am taking my time to recharge I feel so grateful that I have created the life that allows me to do that whenever I need it… because the version of me who didn't get it, was like a walking zombie somedays.
It’s helped me be a better person and really get to know myself and learn what fuels me and what drains me most.
The only time I pinch myself now is to remind myself that this is my true reality now and I no longer have others forcing me to be where I don’t want to be, or do things I don’t want to do.
I hope you enjoy episode #21!
