Humility and Thankfulness – these virtues fit together. Those who are humble are also thankful because they know they could never merit the grace gifts of God, and those who are thankful tend to also be humble as they consider the magnitude of what has been given to them in Christ. Through this passage, we learn that God does not owe us blessings in exchange for our obedience, and we also learn the beauty of having Christ as the focus of our thankfulness.
