Sarah Sterner is a former science teacher turned instructional designer and learning design strategist. Her passion is creating innovative and engaging experiences for learners of all ages and professional backgrounds.
Her career has allowed her to wear many hats. In my second year of teaching, she started developing and selling the educational resources that she found herself designing for her own use in response to the change in state science standards. She loves approaching learning design through the lens of problem-solving because it reflects her approach to life: Identify the need or gap, work tirelessly to research and determine the best solution, and then find the most effective way to implement that solution in an effort to help not only herself, but also any other people who may find themselves in a similar situation.
Since leaving the classroom in 2021, she has been working concurrently in corporate instructional design and K-12 educational publishing. She enjoys both of these remote roles for the variety of challenges and opportunities for creativity that they bring.
