***********************************THE JOY OF MORE GRACE.
And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
John 1:16-17(KJV)
Good morning dearly beloved, today's devotional charge is titled the joy of more grace. Upon hearing the wonders of God's grace, the first thing that comes to your mind is that, is it possible for me to receive and experience more grace than I am right now? Grace has been define as a free gift that you can do nothing to earn or deserve, but you may have noticed that some believers seems to have a greater depth, awareness and understanding of grace. The understanding of grace perhaps, it will help us if we realise this truth that grace is freely given, but it is not automatically enjoyed. What we should ask is that how can I be sure I am walking in the awareness of God's grace, accessing and benefiting from it, and growing in it. Grace is not a thing, from John 1:16-17, When you receive Jesus, you receive grace. It is important to understand that grace is not something that is received separate from him. A man of God wisely said Grace is not a thing, it is not a substance that can be be measured or a commodities to be distributed. It is the grace of the lord Jesus Christ (2Cor 13:14). In actual fact, it is Jesus himself. It appears Jesus brings many expressions and experiences of grace into our lives(John 1:17). The fullness of grace does not come to us all at once but in a progression of gracious experience. In another description is like grace taking the place of grace like the manner fresh each morning, new grace for the new day and new service. There are five dimensional ways to receive grace. We received grace through Faith (Rom 5:1-2), we received grace through the knowledge of God( 2peter 1:2), we received grace through the humility of heart(1Peter 5:5-6), we received grace through boldness (Heb. 4:16) and we received grace through the undying love for God(Eph 6:24). Grace is Jesus saying I provide, faith is us saying I receive. Grace says because I love you, I have provided for you while faith says because you love me, i believe and receive your provision. Grace and faith are never contradictory or in opposition to one another, rather they are inseparably interdependent upon each other and work seamlessly together. Growing in grace is about relationship and intimacy with God. Faith is our part, our response, but even our faith originate with God's grace(Eph 2:8-9). God gave us a measure of faith through which we embrace his grace, first in salvation and then throughout our Christian lives. Our faith continues to partake of grace as we meet every challenges of life. You have access to unlimited grace of God through faith in him. Just like opening a door gives you access to a room so likewise, exercising your faith in God gives you unlimited access to his grace. In Christian race we need both faith and grace to enjoy God's blessings. Grace is God granting the provision while faith enables man to access the provision. There is a joy in desiring for more grace. Just as we received Christ, grace has been given to us( 2peter 1:2).
I pray the grace of God upon your life will not be frustrated in Jesus name.
SHALL WE PRAY
Father in the name of Jesus, I desire more of your grace in my life and destiny.
