What happens when you combine science and data to better optimize recovery results? Well, you get a WHOOP. This week Lindsay and Danielle are joined by Dr. Alex Hajduczok to dig into fitness, burnout, and recovery, and how we can use wearable devices to better predict burnout and recovery in physicians, entrepreneurs, and for all types of jobs. Dr. Alex Hajduczok is a third-year internal medicine resident physician at Penn State Hershey in Pennsylvania. He will be joining the cardiology fellowship program at Thomas Jefferson in Philadelphia in July 2021, and is pursuing an academic career in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant. He has used WHOOP to optimize training in CrossFit since 2017, and is a certified CrossFit Level-1 Trainer at CrossFit Gamma in Hershey, PA. In addition, he leads multiple clinical trials using the WHOOP device for various populations, including medical residents and heart failure patients. He is a huge Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan. Questions for Lindsay or want to share your story? Leave us a message at 614-706-6693 and you might hear it on a future episode.
