Plenty of different creatures make appearances in short fairy tales. A lot of times they have a purpose to the story, and they have their own minds. Some simply want a humble life with food and water, but others are malicious and like to trick others into getting their way. You’ll also find that one of the most clever animals is the monkey, and they find ways to get out of tricky situations. That’s the subject of today’s stories. First, we’ll find out about ”The Monkey and the Crabs,” a Japanese fable. Then, I’ll read “Why the Jellyfish Has No Bones,” another Japanese story of a turtle and a monkey. Enjoy the ride, Grimmlings!
