I am so tired of seeing shameful social media posts focusing on those who've gained weight during COVID: you are surviving a pandemic. You're wearing a TON of different hats now (wife, mother, girlfriend, teacher, colleague, staff member, HUMAN). Stress is at an all-time high. So it really grinds my gears when fitness coaches, "gurus," and yes, even physical therapists are capitalizing on this and shaming you into losing weight.

Besides your weight being the least interesting thing about you, being shamed into a crappy exercise program does a few things: it sets you up for immediate failure, it increases your risk for injury, and it trains you to absolutely hate exercise. While these coaches, gurus, trainers, and PTs claim to be helping you, they may actually be hurting you.
