It's tough asking for help, right? So when you're struggling with stuff like pain, leaking, even fitness and getting healthy in general, you're gonna trust the person in front of you who's the supposed professional, right?

Not so fast. Unfortunately, there is a lot of money (and ego) to be had in the health and wellness realm, and guess what: doctors are not exempt. I don't know if it's an ego thing or an ignorance thing, but I do know this: your personal trainer, physical therapist, even your doctor may be overstepping their bounds when they give you things like exercise and even diet and meal plan advice.

Today we are talking all about what things to look for when we are looking for guidance on our health and wellness journeys: the questions to ask and the bullshit to be mindful of that will save us time, money, and energy down the line.

Healthcare is a difficult territory for women to navigate, as many of us are left feeling dismissed and unheard, our concerns being chalked up to being a "crazy woman" who just needs to lose weight (BARF). That shit ends here and now. Today, we take back our health and speak up: because no one else is gonna do it for us.
