The works based system of the law offers a sharp contrast to the brilliant light of Grace. It offers a system that focuses on behavior and the need for closing the gap of separation between us and God. The ministry of the law is the ministry of veil (2 Cor. 3:1-15). The revelation of God under the law could certainly change behavior, but it could never come close to changing the human heart.
