He is an entrepreneur, co-founding and operating a successful management company, which engaged in active and aggressive promotions, tour coordination, booking, career planning and scheduling. He has managed all aspects of multi-million dollar tours for artists such as Cyndi Lauper, Dwight Yoakam, Bob Newhart and Blondie. Avila blends the manufacturing processes of tequila and mezcal to create a smooth, slightly smokey flavor profile—almost a hybrid of the two agave industry leaders.
