Well. This isn't how I wanted to start the week. Fresh off of a weekend where Canton, Ohio welcomed some new residents at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, instead of talking about any more NHL news or NFL predictions, this episode instead is very close to my heart. Starting with Mike Lange's retirement, I get to talk about how so many hockey fans view Lange and his Hall of Fame career as he calls it quits after 46 seasons as the voice of the Pittsburgh Penguins. There was the news later about Chicago Blackhawks analyst and team alumnus Troy Murray announcing that he tested positive for cancer, and how he has a helping hand within the organization in Eddie Olczyk. And in the final piece of news, one of the most recognizable voices of motorsports in America, Bob Jenkins, passed away at age 73 this morning after an 8 month battle with brain cancer. After all of that, I go on a bit of a bit on why I want to be a sports broadcaster and why I want to do this podcast.
