Description

In this episode we sit down with Dr. Judah Schept, an Associate Professor in the School of Justice Studies at Eastern Kentucky University, to discuss mass incarceration and its rise over the past 40 years along with some other topical issues. Dr. Schept is the author of Progressive Punishment: Job Loss, Jail Growth, and the Neoliberal Logic of Carceral Expansion (New York University Press,  2015) and the forthcoming book Cages in the Coalfields (New York University Press, 2021).
