On today's episode, we sit down with Mariana Almanza-Cook, Director of Business Retention and Expansion for The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership. In this role, Mariana is responsible for maintaining existing relationships with businesses in the community, as well as assisting them with their employee recruitment and workforce development, expansion of office space as needed, and creating demographic/labor market profiles in the community. Mariana earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing at Texas A&M University and the University of Texas-San Antonio. She has also obtained a Multimedia Design Certification from Lone Star College. Internships were the most rewarding part of her overall educational experiences.
