This week at The Film Club we’re celebrating our 200th episode! We’re celebrating with the Ed Wood Horror/Sci-fi classic, Bride of the Monster! The film follows Dr. Eric Vornoff who lives deep in the woods in a well known haunted house. People are mysteriously vanishing when they visit this secluded woodland area and the police can’t figure out what’s happening in the woods. One of the officers that’s on the missing persons cases is Lieutenant Dick Craig he is engaged to news reporter Janet Lawton who is determined to find the truth after rumors begin circulating that a monster is in the woods and that’s the real reason why people are disappearing. Janet takes charge and goes to the woods on her own and after getting into a car accident in the rough terrain she’s rescued by Dr. Vornoff’s giant experimental assistant Lobo. When Janet regains consciousness she realizes she’s landed in the laboratory of Dr Vornoff who’s ready to make her his next specimen for a Superhuman race.
