This week at The Film Club we conclude our Ed Wood Month with his most talked about film, Plan 9 from Outer Space! Plan 9 is celebrating its 65th anniversary this July. The film begins at a funeral where a flying saucer lands after a burial. A ghoul appears and kills two grave diggers, when the bodies of the grave diggers are discovered an investigation immediately begins. However when the police are investigating another flying saucer lands in the cemetery and its force knocks the police unconscious. The ghoul returns with her zombie husband and kill the police inspector. Then the ghoul and husband proceed to turn the inspector into a zombie to help with their goal of creating an army of the dead.
