This week at The Film Club we're kicking off the month of July with a new themed month Tribute to Cinematic Heroes! To begin the month we're starting with not only a classic but an AFI top 100 film, To Kill a Mockingbird. The film follows the story of a young Scout Finch growing up in Alabama in the 1930's with her father and brother. The story shifts back and fourth from Scout and her crusade to see the mysterious man who lives in the neighborhood's spooky house, to her father Atticus who is a lawyer and defending an innocent man who was falsely accused of a heinous crime. Can Atticus save his client? Can the kids keep themselves safe from the neighborhood boogeyman? Join us as we dive into the world of To Kill a Mockingbird.
