This week at The Film Club we're talking about the sequel to the 80s cult classic Gremlins, Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Gremlins 2 takes place years after the original film and Gizmo finds himself in trouble again when Mr. Wing passes away leaving the Mogwai with no one to take care of him. When the city tears down Mr. Wing's shop Gizmo is forced to flee into the streets of New York, a scientist finds Gizmo and takes him into his lab which happens to be in the same building that Gizmo's old friend Billy happens to be working in. Billy is able to rescue Gizmo but a new batch of Gremlins has been created and there are so many Gremlins that are ready to take over New York City. Can Billy and Gizmo save the city? Or will the Gremlins completely take over? Join us as we dive into the world of Gremlins 2.
