Maggie & Misty sit down with Emily Heiden. Emily is a PHD student, as well as a well published essayist. During this current climate in our culture, Emily's story is one (among so many) that we need to hear. Emily bravely shares her story of abortion, and while we respect that this is a sensitive topic (on both sides), these stories are ones we NEED to intentionally listen to. Emily bravely shares her journey and touched both of our hosts very deeply.
Whether we find ourselves on the pro-life or pro-choice side of this debate, it is VITAL that we acknowledge these are living/breathing human beings who are dealing with really hard things, and they deserve compassion, empathy and for our a chance to be heard. This topic causes so much reaction, while while those caught in the middle often end up being overlooked. We can be better, we can love better...
