Almost three years ago, I found my son's father dead from an accidental heroin/cocaine overdose. As you can imagine, an event like this can shape one's who view of the world (and definitely does, anew, in many ways). I've long waited to share this story and my truth because the personal nature of something so deep and close to home can be hard to re-examine and edit. It can be even harder to share with the world in a way that feels meaningful to the whole experience. There have been names redacted, for now, and I hope you in joy the series. TRIGGER WARNING: death, drugs, and descriptive language might be found in this podcast. It is not advised for younger audiences.
